In 1998, Steve Johnson converted His grandfather's corner grocery store into the Royal Mattress Center, starting with just 8 models. From there, the business grew incrementally. The store doubled in size, and Steve began working with several national mattress brands. But he never just followed trends - he used his knowledge of what his customers truly needed to help him create the popular Royal Mattress Line. What made the difference wasn't only the products. It was Steve's dedication to people. His customer service became legendary, and word spread so far that he doesn't see the need to pay for advertising. His reputation carries him.
